Designed for pipe diameters from DN 50 to DN 1200 (2" to 48"), this custody transfer-approved device is ideal for applications in district heating networks, local distribution systems, boiler facilities, and chiller plants. Built for precision and long-term stability, it is also suitable for billing measurements in regions with specific national approvals, even without EU type certification.

This specific configuration features a DN500 carbon steel construction, EN 1434 compliance, and exceptional measurement capabilities with flow ranges from qp=1475 m³/h to qs=4130 m³/h. It includes a 10-meter sensor link cable with gland, supports high operating temperatures (up to 200°C depending on size), and offers flexible power options with both AC mains supply and a lithium backup battery.

Overview

The SITRANS FUE380 uses a proven 2-path ultrasonic measurement method for high accuracy under short inlet conditions. It meets stringent international standards including EN 1434 class 2, OIML R 75 class 2, and MID class 2. Protected metrological parameters ensure reliability in custody transfer. For standard applications without type approval, the technically identical SITRANS FUS380 model is available.

Design

The transmitter enclosure is IP67/NEMA 4X/6 rated for harsh environments. The flowmeter assembly includes a sensor pipe, four transducers, and a SITRANS FUE080 transmitter. MID certification under Directive 2014/32/EU ensures compliance for cross-border trade within the EU.
