Function
A contactor is essentially a heavy-duty relay used to switch an electrical power circuit on or off. The 3TB4311-0XG1 model functions by using a coil to generate an electromagnetic field when energized by the 110 V AC control voltage. This field pulls the main contacts closed, allowing current to flow to the connected load. When the coil is de-energized, a spring returns the contacts to their open position, interrupting the power flow. The auxiliary contact operates simultaneously with the main contacts, providing a status signal to the control system.
