SIEMENS 6DR5020-0NN01-0AA0 is a highly advanced SIPART PS2 smart electropneumatic positioner engineered for linear and part-turn pneumatic actuators. Designed for high-precision control and diagnostic capabilities, it operates with a 4...20 mA input signal and supports double-acting functionality. Featuring a polycarbonate enclosure and non-contacting position detection (NCS), this unit ensures minimal wear and extended reliability in challenging industrial environments.

This device does not include explosion protection and features NPT connection threads (1/2" for electric, 1/4" for pneumatic). Optional modules such as an Analog Output Module (AOM) for analog position feedback (4...20 mA) and device plug M12 are available separately. It also supports integration with SITRANS I100 isolating power supply and is designed with fail-safe capabilities for depressurizing actuators in power loss conditions (single acting only).

Overview

SIPART PS2 positioners precisely regulate valve positions based on setpoint specifications. They provide a wide range of intelligent diagnostics, both online during operations and offline between processes. Diagnostics can be expanded with pressure sensors, making them ideal for monitoring valve behavior and improving system uptime.

Design

Each SIPART PS2 includes:

• Base plate with or without inspection window
• Advanced electronics supporting 4...20 mA, HART, PROFIBUS PA, or FOUNDATION Fieldbus
• Position detection via potentiometer or NCS sensor
• Pneumatic block with connections for air supply and actuation pressure

Optional connectivity for venting gauge block, booster, and safety valves is supported. The unit mounts directly to actuators using specialized kits.

Optional Expansion

Expandable with:

• Analog Output Module (AOM): 4...20 mA feedback
• Digital I/O Module (DIO): 3 digital outputs and 1 input with configurable alarms and limit signaling
• Inductive or Mechanical Limit Switches: NAMUR-compliant or mechanical switching with fault indicators

All modules are electrically isolated, self-monitoring, and retrofittable.

Remote Mounting Capability

The positioner can be installed remotely from the actuator, with stroke or angle measurement done locally. Ideal for environments with harsh vibration, radiation, or magnetic interference.
