Application
The CPU 1517H-3 PN is the CPU with an extremely large program and data memory for applications which have higher requirements for availability compared with standard CPUs. It can be used as the PROFINET IO controller. The integrated PROFINET IO RT interface is designed as a 2-port switch, enabling a ring topology to be set up in the system. The additional integrated PROFINET interface with separate IP address can be used, for example, for network separation.
