The SITRANS FUE380 is a mains or battery-operated ultrasonic in-line flowmeter designed for high-accuracy water and thermal energy measurement in various industrial and commercial applications. With a diameter range from DN 50 to DN 1200 (2" to 48"), this model is custody transfer approved and ideal for use in district heating plants, local distribution networks, boiler stations, and chiller facilities. Overview

The SITRANS FUE380 is based on a 2-path ultrasonic design to ensure accurate readings, even in short inlet conditions. It is approved according to EN 1434, OIML R 75, and MID Class 2 standards. The type-approved FUE380 variant is optimized for custody transfer applications, while the FUS380 variant offers the same technical specifications without type approval. The flowmeter supports calibration according to the selected pipe size and flow range, ensuring precise performance in its intended application.

Design

The system comprises a flow sensor pipe, four transducers with cables, and the SITRANS FUE080 transmitter. It is available in compact or remote versions, with the remote variant supporting distances up to 30 meters via a single Sensor Link Cable (SSL). The transmitter housing meets IP67/NEMA 4X/6 standards, ensuring protection in challenging environments. Operational temperature limits are 150°C for DN50–DN80 and 200°C for DN100–DN800. Power is supplied through 115–230V AC mains with lithium battery backup for reliability. The MID-certified design includes both Module B and Module D approvals, guaranteeing quality and compliance for international trade.
