Function
The Siemens 3RT7026-1AV05 functions as an electrically controlled switch used to turn a power circuit on and off. When the 400V AC coil is energized, it creates a magnetic field that pulls the main contacts closed, allowing current to flow to the connected load. Simultaneously, the auxiliary contacts change state—the NO contact closes and the NC contact opens—providing feedback for control circuits, interlocks, or signaling purposes. De-energizing the coil causes the contacts to return to their original state.
