The extension components are part of the system components for PRO devices and complement the portfolio of fully enclosed devices. These components in combination with the basic devices enable customers to implement a large variety of operating scenarios.

The following products are available as extension components:

Keyboard tray for PRO devices

The keyboard tray for PRO devices makes it possible to install a keyboard tray plate for PRO devices or a keyboard with a suitable mechanical interface. The tilting angle of the keyboard tray can be adjusted in steps.

Four USB devices can be connected to the keyboard tray:

• Rear:
  Installation of 2 separable IP65 M20 x 1.5 cable glands and
  USB extension with M20 x 1.5 screw connection
• Front:
  Possible to install 2 USB interfaces for PRO devices (6AV7674-1LX00-0AA0)
• Note: The USB keyboard KV25605 INOX can be mounted on the keyboard tray for PRO devices and connected to the PRO device using the USB cable (incl. M20 screwed gasket) in IP65 degree of protection. INOX keyboards and USB cables can be found in the category “Accessories” under “Input devices”.

Keyboard tray plate for PRO devices

The keyboard tray plate for PRO devices can be mounted on the keyboard tray for PRO devices.
The keyboard tray plate provides enough space for a commercially available keyboard and mouse.
The dimensions of the keyboard tray plate are 700 mm x 210 mm.
Keyboards and mice are listed as accessories under input devices.

USB keyboard KV25605 INOX (INT / GER)

The USB keyboard KV25605 INOX can be mounted on the keyboard tray for PRO devices and connected to the PRO device using the USB cable (incl. M20 screwed gasket) in IP65 degree of protection.

USB interface for PRO devices

The USB interface for PRO devices allows external, flexible access to the PRO device’s internal USB interface. This makes it easier, for example, to quickly extract machine data.
The USB interface is made of aluminum and is suitable for use in harsh industrial environments. It is integrated via the cover on each side of the basic adapter or in the keyboard tray for PRO devices.

This external USB interface can be additionally integrated into all 16:9 PRO devices, which come with the basic adapter. Each basic adapter has two side covers. These covers can be replaced with the USB interface for PRO devices. The two Torx screws on the cover can be quickly and easily removed.

It is possible to incorporate two USB interfaces on the front of the keyboard tray for PRO devices. The USB interface can be integrated into the basic adapter or via the keyboard tray for PRO devices on the desired side. The USB cable is connected to the internal connection in the PRO device.

Handles for PRO devices

Handles for PRO devices offer optimum handling and haptics when positioning and tilting the HMI PRO device. The handles can be set with a distance of between 424 mm and 622 mm and are thus optimally suited to the SIMATIC HMI PRO device widths of 12″ to 22″.

Installation is possible on:

• Support arm devices (telescopic, round tubing) or pedestal devices (telescopic, flange below)
  • Below the SIMATIC HMI PRO device or Extension Unit
• Support arm devices (non-telescopic, flange on top)
  • On top of the SIMATIC HMI PRO device
