Overview

SIPART PS2 positioners are designed to control pneumatic valve positions according to setpoint values. They include intelligent diagnostics—online and offline—that monitor device behavior and valve performance. Diagnostics can be expanded with optional pressure sensors for more precise system analysis.

Design

This digital positioner includes:

  • Aluminum base plate and enclosure, with or without inspection window
  • Screw-type terminals supporting 4-20 mA, HART, PROFIBUS PA, or FOUNDATION Fieldbus
  • Non-contacting sensor (NCS) or potentiometer for position feedback
  • Pneumatic block with ports for supply and actuation pressure

Optional modules include analog output (4–20 mA), digital I/O (alarms and limits), and inductive/mechanical limit switches. All modules are isolated and self-signaling for fault detection. Installation flexibility allows remote placement of the positioner, especially where field conditions are harsh.
