The SIEMENS 6DR5023-0NG00-0AA0 SIPART PS2 is a high-precision, smart electropneumatic positioner engineered for exceptional valve control in industrial automation. Designed for double-acting pneumatic linear or part-turn actuators, it operates on a 4...20mA signal and features a robust aluminum enclosure. With wear-free, non-contacting position detection (NCS), this unit is ideal for long-term, low-maintenance use in demanding environments.

This variant includes standard configuration without explosion protection, option module, or monitoring features, and is supplied with brief instructions in English, German, and Chinese. The unit is fail-safe capable, depressurizing the actuator in case of auxiliary power failure (applicable to single-acting only). It does not include a manometer block or booster.

Overview

The SIPART PS2 digital positioner ensures precise valve positioning based on setpoint values in pneumatic control systems. It includes integrated diagnostic functions that support both online and offline analysis. These capabilities can be extended with optional pressure sensors to enhance condition monitoring and predictive maintenance.

Design

The SIPART PS2 positioner consists of:

Optional Expansion

The SIPART PS2 can be upgraded with:

• Analog Output Module (AOM): Provides 4–20 mA analog feedback
• Digital I/O Module (DIO): Includes alarms, position limit monitoring, and safety-triggering inputs
• Inductive Limit Switches (ILS): NAMUR-compliant signal monitoring
• Mechanical Limit Switches (MLS): Physical travel limits with fault indication

All modules are fully electrically isolated and self-monitoring. They are retrofittable and compatible with the basic unit.

Remote Installation

For environments with extreme vibration or radiation, the SIPART PS2 allows separate mounting of the positioner and detection unit. This remote configuration improves safety and operational flexibility by positioning the electronics away from harsh conditions.
