The SIEMENS SIPART PS2 is an advanced electropneumatic positioner designed for use with pneumatic linear and part-turn actuators. With a control signal of 4...20 mA and HART communication, this smart positioner provides non-contacting (wear-free) position detection using NCS technology. Built with an aluminum enclosure, it is optimized for environments without explosion protection and includes standard fail-safe features such as depressurization upon auxiliary power failure.
This model comes without pressure sensors, limit monitors, or manometer blocks, making it ideal for simplified control tasks where reliability and ease of integration are paramount. It includes brief instructions in English, German, and Chinese and connects via 1/2" NPT (electrical) and 1/4" NPT (pneumatic) threads. Its modular design allows future expansion with optional I/O modules, analog feedback, or mechanical and inductive limit switches.
SIPART PS2 positioners regulate valve positions based on the control setpoint, offering both online and offline diagnostic functions. For extended diagnostic capabilities, optional pressure sensor modules can be added. These diagnostics enable predictive maintenance and help reduce plant downtime.
