Analog input modules allow the connection of the PLC to analog signals of the process. They are suitable for connection of voltage transmitters and current transmitters, thermo elements, resistors and resistance thermometers.

The analog input modules convert analog signals from the process into digital signals for internal processing in the PLC.

The modules feature:

• Resolution from 9-bit to 15-bit + sign (with different conversion times), can be parameterized.
• Different measurement ranges;
  the default setting of the current/voltage ranges is set mechanically using measuring range modules, the fine adjustment is performed with STEP 7 “Hardware configuration” via PG.
• Interrupt capability;
  the module sends diagnostic and limit-value interrupts to the CPU of the PLC.
• Diagnostics;
  the module sends extensive diagnostics information to the CPU.
