Overview

The unmanaged Industrial Ethernet switches of the SCALANCE XB-100 product line are optimized for installing Industrial Ethernet networks in line and star topologies. The devices are suitable for use in industry as well as in building automation. The switches feature high port density with up to 24 ports. Due to their compact and lightweight enclosure, they are suitable for space-saving DIN rail mounting in control cabinets or boxes, as well as for wall mounting.

Design Features

SCALANCE XB-100 Industrial Ethernet switches are optimized for DIN rail installation but can also be mounted directly to a wall.

SCALANCE XB-100 switches feature:

• Two 3-pin terminal blocks for redundant 24 V AC/DC supply and functional grounding
• One LED for overall power status
• Individual LEDs per port for link status and data activity

Port Types Available

• 10/100 BaseTX RJ45 (electrical): supports autosensing and autocrossing, cable length up to 100 m
• 100 BaseFX ST/BFOC (optical): multimode fiber, up to 5 km
• 100 BaseFX SC (optical): multimode fiber, up to 5 km

All data cable connections are located at the front of the unit.
