Overview

The unmanaged Industrial Ethernet switches of the SCALANCE XB-100 product line are optimized for installing Industrial Ethernet networks in line and star topologies. The devices are suitable for use in industry as well as in building automation. The switches feature high port density with up to 24 ports. Due to their compact and lightweight enclosure, they are suitable for space-saving DIN rail mounting in control cabinets or boxes, as well as for wall mounting.

Design Features

SCALANCE XB-100 Industrial Ethernet switches are optimized for installation on a DIN rail but can also be mounted directly to a wall.

SCALANCE XB-100 switches feature:

• Two 3-pin terminal blocks for redundant 24 V AC/DC supply and functional grounding
• One LED for indicating overall power status
• LEDs for link status and data exchange per port

Port Types Available

• 10/100 BaseTX RJ45 ports (electrical): supports autosensing and autocrossing, up to 100 m cable
• 100 BaseFX SC port (optical): multimode fiber, up to 5 km
• 100 BaseFX ST/BFOC port (optical): multimode fiber, up to 5 km

All data cable connections are located at the front of the unit.
