- Global Standards Compliance: Adheres to international standards such as IEC and UL, ensuring suitability for global markets and applications.
Function
The Siemens 3RT2025-2BW40 functions as an electromagnetically operated switch. When a 48 V DC control signal is applied to the coil, it creates a magnetic field that pulls the armature, closing the main power contacts. This allows the flow of high-current power to the connected load (e.g., an electric motor).
Simultaneously, the auxiliary contacts change state—the NO contact closes and the NC contact opens—to provide feedback or control signals to other parts of the system. Releasing the control signal de-energizes the coil, causing the contacts to return to their original position, thereby disconnecting the power to the load.
Application
- Motor starting and control in industrial machinery.
- HVAC systems.
- Pumping stations.
- Conveyor systems.
- Lighting control systems.
- Switching resistive and inductive loads.
