Overview
The Siemens 3RT1926-2ED21 is a high-quality solid-state, time-delayed auxiliary switch block designed for seamless integration with the SIRIUS 3RT1 Contactor series (Sizes S0 to S12, company-specific). This essential control component provides an ON-delay timing function, enabling precise sequential control in industrial automation and low-voltage switching applications.
This front-side clip-on module features a flexible time range of 0.5 to 10 seconds and is compatible with control supply voltages from 200 to 240 V AC. It is equipped with one time-delayed Normally Open (NO) contact and one time-delayed Normally Closed (NC) contact, both utilizing reliable screw-type terminals for secure wiring. The solid-state design ensures high operational reliability and long electrical life, making it a dependable choice for demanding control circuits.
Benefit
- Precision Timing: Solid-state electronics deliver accurate and repeatable ON-delay timing across the 0.5 to 10 second range, crucial for reliable sequential processes.
- Space & Cost Efficiency: Attaches directly to the front of the contactor, eliminating the need for a separate DIN rail-mounted timing relay and simplifying panel layouts.
- High Reliability: The electronic, solid-state design offers exceptional durability and a long electrical lifespan compared to mechanical timers.
- Easy Installation: Features a quick clip-on mechanism for fast, tool-free mounting onto compatible 3RT1 contactors.
- Versatile Integration: The 1 NO and 1 NC delayed contact outputs provide flexibility for various interlocking and control circuit applications.
- Global Standard: A genuine Siemens SIRIUS component, ensuring compliance with international quality and safety standards (IP20 rated).
Function
The ON-Delay function means that when the associated contactor is energized (control voltage is applied to the timer), the auxiliary contacts (1 NO and 1 NC) do not switch immediately. Instead, they switch only after the set time delay (T) has elapsed.
- 1 NO Contact: Closes after time T.
- 1 NC Contact: Opens after time T.
This function is commonly used to ensure motors, valves, or other downstream equipment start in the correct sequence, protecting systems from simultaneous start-ups or high inrush current.
