Overview
With SIMATIC S7-PLCSIM Advanced, digital twins can be used for simulation of S7-1500 and ET 200SP controllers and for extensive function simulation.
The digital twins can also be tested and validated in conjunction with a plant/machine. An extensive API is available for interfacing plant/machine simulations.

New CPU types
- Support of Software Controllers and Open Controllers from V30.0, including synchronous SIMATIC ODK
- Support of all new S7-1500 CPUs with firmware 3.1 (incl. SIPLUS)
Compatibility
S7-PLCSIM Advanced now supports TIA Portal projects of versions V14 to V19 and CPU firmware versions V1.8 – V3.1.
The user interface of S7-PLCSIM V19 is also intended for use with S7-PLCSIM Advanced V6.0.
Licensing
- The engineering software can be installed on multiple computers. The number of existing licenses determines the number of computers on which the software can be used simultaneously (floating license). For each license, the use of two simultaneously started S7-PLCSIM Advanced instances is permitted.
- For users of the previous versions 1.0/2.x/3.0/4.x/5.0, an upgrade to version 6.0 is offered.
- In addition, it is possible to purchase the software as an annual subscription.
