Overview

WinCC WebUX allows mobile, platform-independent operator control and monitoring over the Internet, intranet, or LAN. Following installation, the WinCC Runtime system acts as a WebUX server. Users can create project images using the integrated graphic editor, and these web-capable pictures are made available via the IIS service platform without requiring client installation. WebUX is versatile, supporting industrial sectors, service alarm acknowledgment, quality assurance monitoring, and management dashboards for production data overview.

Licensing is server-based and differentiated between Monitor Clients (read-only) and Operate Clients (read/write). The software supports floating clients with additive licenses, allowing the number of clients to increase as needed. A free Monitor Client is included for immediate use. WinCC/WebUX licenses can also be combined with WinCC/WebNavigator licenses. Importantly, server and client versions do not need to match, enabling seamless integration.
