As part of the SIRIUS 3RT2 series, it offers reliable performance and is suitable for a wide range of applications, including disconnecting loads from the grid and transfer switching. This model features a 48V AC, 50/60 Hz spring-loaded terminal coil, making installation quick and secure. It is a size S00 contactor with a rated operational current of 22A at 400V / 40 °C. The compact design and high-quality construction adhere to international standards like IEC 60947.
Benefit
- Reliable Performance: Built to IEC standards, ensuring safe and dependable operation.
- Quick Installation: Spring-loaded terminals simplify wiring, reducing installation time and effort.
- Versatile Application: Ideal for switching weak or non-inductive loads (AC-1) in various industrial settings.
- Compact Design: Size S00 form factor saves valuable space within control panels.
- High Contact Reliability: The auxiliary contacts are optimized for use in solid-state circuits and low-voltage applications.
- Expandable Functionality: Can be easily retrofitted with auxiliary switches and surge suppressors to meet specific application needs.
Function
The Siemens 3RT2317-2AH00 contactor functions as an electrically controlled switch used for switching a power circuit. When the 48V AC control voltage is applied to the coil (A1-A2), it creates an electromagnetic field that closes the main contacts, allowing current to flow to the connected load. When the voltage is removed, the contacts open, interrupting the circuit. Its 4-pole design allows for the simultaneous switching of four separate circuits or phases. The spring-loaded terminals provide a vibration-proof and gas-tight connection, ensuring consistent contact over time.
Application
- Switching of weak or non-inductive loads (AC-1)
- Disconnecting loads or power generation plants from the grid
- Transfer switching applications
