Function
The Siemens 3TB4122-0XC2 contactor acts as an electrically controlled switch, primarily used for remotely controlling a power circuit. When the 24V AC coil is energized, it generates a magnetic field that closes the main power contacts, allowing current to flow to the connected load (e.g., a motor). Simultaneously, the auxiliary contacts change state—the NO contact closes and the NC contact opens—which can be used to provide status signals to a PLC, interlock with other devices, or create control circuits. When the coil is de-energized, a spring returns all contacts to their original position, safely disconnecting the power to the load.
