Application
The IM 157-1 DP interface module enables the connection of ET 200AL to PROFIBUS and handles the communication between the I/O modules and the higher-level PROFIBUS master in the PLC autonomously.
Design
The interface module IM 157-1 PN can be mounted in any position on even surfaces or on aluminum mounting rails.
The IM 157-1 DP features the following:
- Two backplane bus outlets (ET connection 1 and 2) for connection of the I/O modules
- A power supply connection with M8 connection technology with forwarding
- Diagnostics displays for operation (RUN), errors (Error), maintenance (MAINT)
- Labels for the identification of interfaces, modules and slots
- Integrated cable tie opening
