The FM 355 can be used in the SIMATIC S7-300 and ET 200M with S7-300/400 as DP master.

• User-friendly wiring:
  Encoders and actuators are connected via two separate 20-pin front connectors.
• LEDs:
  • Red LED for displaying faults (group fault)
  • Green LEDs for digital input status display
  • Yellow LED for indicating backup operation
• High-performance measured data acquisition:
  The module has 4 analog inputs for analog value acquisition and disturbance variable input as well as 1 additional analog input for temperature compensation when used with thermocouples.
• Various encoders can be used:
  thermocouples, Pt 100, voltage encoders, current encoders.
• Extensive I/O:
  • FM 355 C: 4 analog outputs for analog actuators
  • FM 355 S: 8 digital outputs for motorized actuators or binary controlled actuators. The 24 V DC supply for the actuators is applied externally.
