Overview

The Teamcenter Gateway permits storage and management of TIA Portal projects and global libraries in Teamcenter. Program handling is integrated into the TIA Portal.

Licensing
  •  Please note the compatibility of the installed program versions for the operation of the Teamcenter Gateway.
  • The software can be installed on multiple computers. The number of existing licenses determines the number of computers on which the software can be used simultaneously (floating license).
  • An upgrade to version V17 is available for users of the previous V14...V16 versions.
  • It is possible to conclude Software Update Service (SUS) contracts.

Application

Integration of the automation technology into the PLM system Teamcenter is achieved using the TIA Portal Teamcenter Gateway. The automation engineer can be integrated in Teamcenter workflows based on business processes within the company, e.g. in release processes.

Function

  • Saving, opening, version assignment, and revising of TIA Portal projects and libraries as an entity in Teamcenter from the TIA Portal
  • Use of single sign-on (SSO) and PKI when logging into Teamcenter
  • Linking of Teamcenter items with TIA objects (program blocks, UDTs)
  • Saving and opening projects from the TIA Portal Multiuser Server to and from Teamcenter
