Protection against Overvoltage at Control Supply Voltage Connection: The 3RT13 contactors come pre-equipped with coil damping (varistor) for overvoltage protection. Note that damping increases break times of the contactor and delay times of NO/NC contacts. Refer to the Equipment Manual for detailed influence of damping on time response.

Motor Protection: The 3RT13 contactors can be fitted with 3RB2 electronic overload relays for comprehensive motor overload protection.
