Function
The Siemens 3RT2027-1AV60 power contactor is a key component in motor control circuits. When the 480V AC control voltage is applied to the coil, it electromagnetically closes the main power contacts, allowing a three-phase electrical current to flow to a connected load, such as a motor. It is also designed to interrupt this current safely when the control voltage is removed. The integrated auxiliary contacts change state with the main contacts, providing a feedback signal for PLCs or other control systems and enabling interlocking logic.
