-
Global voltage/frequency support: 50 Hz and 60 Hz capability means you can deploy this part in many international installations without worrying about mismatches.
-
Genuine part quality: Since this is a genuine Siemens component, you get the manufacturer’s build quality, certification, and support—leading to less downtime and better long-term reliability.
Function & Application
The 3RT2934-5AG21 coil sits inside the contactor assembly of the SIRIUS 3RT2 range. When a 110 V AC control voltage is applied, the coil generates a magnetic field which actuates the armature. This closes (or opens) the main power contacts of the contactor, allowing current to flow to the load (such as a motor or other high-power device). Typical applications include:
-
Motor Control Centres (MCCs)
-
Industrial automation systems
-
HVAC pump/motor control
-
Any setup using SIRIUS 3RT2 size S2 contactors requiring a 110 V AC coil
Installation Notes & Tips
-
Confirm that your contactor is indeed a SIRIUS 3RT2 size S2 model.
-
Ensure the supply voltage to the coil is stable at 110 V AC, and frequency is either 50 Hz or 60 Hz.
-
Disconnect power before replacing the coil to avoid risk of electric shock or equipment damage.
-
When replacing a coil, inspect the contactor for wear and check the armature / spring mechanism. A new coil will maximise reliability only when the supporting parts are in good condition.
-
Keep documentation (datasheet) for future reference; for example, Siemens lists this coil as “Magnet coil for contactors S2, 110 V AC, 50/60 Hz”.
