Overview
The Siemens 3TB4122-0XQ0 is a high-performance, robust contactor designed for reliable switching of electrical loads in a wide range of industrial applications. This specific model is engineered for use with a 380V AC, 50 Hz control coil, making it ideal for systems in regions that adhere to this power standard. With a powerful 5.5 kW rating at 400V AC-3 and a 12A operational current, this contactor is perfectly suited for controlling motors, heaters, and other demanding equipment.
Its compact size 0 design allows for efficient use of panel space, while the durable screw connections ensure a secure and long-lasting electrical link. The inclusion of one normally open (1 NO) and one normally closed (1 NC) auxiliary contact provides essential feedback and control options for complex circuits.
Benefit
- Reliable Performance: Siemens is a global leader in industrial automation, and this contactor upholds the brand’s reputation for durability and consistent operation.
- Space-Saving Design: The compact size 0 form factor allows for higher density installations, optimizing cabinet space and reducing overall system footprint.
- Versatile Application: Suitable for a broad spectrum of applications, including motor control, lighting circuits, heating systems, and general load switching.
- Easy Installation: The intuitive design and screw connection terminals simplify wiring and installation, reducing labor time and potential for errors.
- Enhanced Control: The built-in 1 NO and 1 NC auxiliary contacts offer flexibility for interlocking, status indication, and other control functions without needing additional accessories.
- Global Standard: Engineered to meet international standards, ensuring compatibility and compliance in various industrial environments.
Function
The Siemens 3TB4122-0XQ0 functions as an electrically controlled switch. When the 380V AC coil is energized, it generates a magnetic field that pulls a movable armature, closing the main power contacts. This action completes the circuit, allowing power to flow to the connected load. Simultaneously, the auxiliary contacts change their state (NO becomes closed, NC becomes open), providing critical signaling for control circuits, PLCs, or status lamps. When the coil is de-energized, a spring mechanism returns the contacts to their original position, safely interrupting the power to the load.
