5SY4306-8 is a Siemens SENTRON D6 miniature circuit breaker with three poles. It is rated for 400 V AC and has a 10 kA breaking-capacity rating under EN 60898. Its 6 A current rating and D tripping characteristic must match the protected circuit.
Start with the circuit design. A matching pole count or enclosure size does not make a different ampere rating or tripping curve an interchangeable replacement.

The 10 kA figure is a short-circuit breaking-capacity rating under EN 60898. It is not the continuous load current. IEC 60947-2 and UL 1077 entries in the data sheet use their own ratings and test conditions; use the entry that applies to the installation.
The marked 6 A rating is not an unconditional load allowance at every cabinet temperature. For example, Siemens specifies 5.09 A operational current at 60 °C for this 6 A model. Use the specified 2.5–3.5 N·m terminal torque and check conductor size and available fault current as part of circuit selection.
Check the dimension drawing when replacing a breaker in an existing enclosure. The 70 mm installation-depth designation is a different measurement from the overall product depth. Reserve space for conductors and any side-mounted auxiliary device.
Only after confirming the required tripping characteristic and the other circuit ratings. B, C and D identify different magnetic tripping behaviour; the ampere number alone is not sufficient.
This model has three poles. Do not treat it as a three-pole-plus-neutral device; select a device with the required neutral arrangement when the circuit needs one.
