ZNX:EIP200PRO Siemens SIMATIC DP EtherNet/IP Interface Module Original Brand New

The SIMATIC ET 200pro interface module for EtherNet/IP has the following properties:

• EtherNet/IP communication according to the ODVA specification “EtherNet/IP Adaptation of CIP”, Edition 1.16 and “Common Industrial Protocol (CIP)”, Edition 3.15.
• Communication: 100 MBd, auto-detection, full-duplex, auto-negotiation.
• LED diagnostics in accordance with the ODVA specification for EtherNet/IP.
• Integrated two-port switch for easy installation of a linear topology (ring topology is not supported); cost-saving installation, no external switch required.
• Max. address space: 255 bytes input and 255 bytes output.
• Parameterization and diagnostics of the IO modules using software (Configuration Tool).
• To utilize the address space of the CPU efficiently, the addresses of the IO modules can be packed.
• The firmware (FW) of the IM can be upgraded via EtherNet/IP as needed.
• Quick response times thanks to short cycle times (typically 2 ms).
• Support of the EtherNet/IP function “QuickConnect class B” (approx. 650 ms run-up time; approx. 1 s until the start of the first IO cycle).
• 24 V DC supply unit via 7/8″ connector for looping through the supply voltage.
• Connection of EtherNet/IP via M12 connecting plug; EtherNet/IP can be looped through.
• Up to 16 modules can be plugged in and operated behind an IM.

Please note that safety modules cannot be used.

In order to exploit the full functionality of the ET 200pro IO modules, corresponding software is needed (Configuration Tool) for changing parameters and reading diagnostics.

Scope of delivery

The following components are delivered together with the interface module:

• Interface module ZNX:EIP200PRO
• Bus terminating module for ET 200pro
• Companion disk with the manuals and the Configuration Tool

Note:

In order to be able to connect the interface module to EtherNet/IP, the connecting module ZNX:EIP200PROCM1 must be ordered separately.

EtherNet/IP Configuration Tool

The interface module can be operated in the “Auto Config” mode and in the “Manual Config” mode. A separate Configuration Tool is provided for changing parameters. This tool also has the following functions:

• Selection as to whether DHCP/BOOTP or a fixed IP address is to be used
• Option for setting the network parameters (IP address, network mask, etc.)
• Reading out diagnostic messages
• Firmware update via EtherNet/IP
• Setting the properties of the EtherNet/IP ports (auto-negotiation, fixed baud rate, etc.)
• Making settings for QuickConnect.

The Configuration Tool is free of charge. It is on the CD which is supplied with the interface module.

Currently, this Configuration Tool is only available in English. The same applies to the accompanying manual.
