Overview

The Layer 3-enabled SCALANCE XR-500 Industrial Ethernet switches are modular, high-performance, industry-standard switches for the construction of electrical and optical line, ring, and star topologies with data transfer rates of up to 10 Gbps, designed for installation in 19″ control cabinets.

• Up to 10 electrical/optical interfaces with 10 Gbps and up to 48 interfaces with 10/100/1000 Mbps
• Fast media redundancy with integrated redundancy manager for ring connections
• Supports IT standard functions: VLANs, IGMP, STP/RSTP/MSTP, QoS, IEEE 802.1X, static routing, RIP, OSPF, VRRP
• Integrated system diagnostics via PROFINET, web browser, CLI, SINEMA Server, SINEC NMS, and SNMP
• KEY-PLUG enables Layer 3 routing and automatic backup for simple replacement

Design

The XR-500 switches come with a rugged IP20 metal enclosure for 19″ rack installation. Power supply (85–264 V AC) can be mounted at the rear (for XR528-6M, XR552-12M) or connected via cables.
