The 6DR5113-0NG03-0AA9R1C SIEMENS SIPART PS2 Smart electropneumatic positioner is a reliable solution for precise valve positioning in demanding industrial automation environments. Operating on a 4...20mA signal with HART communication, this positioner supports single-acting actuators and is housed in a robust aluminum enclosure. It offers non-contacting, wear-free position detection (NCS), enhancing service life and long-term accuracy.

Equipped for linear and part-turn actuators, this model includes an analog output and input module, supporting advanced diagnostics. It is not compatible with pressure sensor options P01/P02. With fail-safe operation by depressurizing the actuator during auxiliary power failure, the SIPART PS2 ensures safety-critical control. The IP54-rated manometer block in stainless steel 316 measures pressure in MPa, bar, and psi. Power isolation can be achieved via the SITRANS I100 isolating power supply (sold separately). It comes with brief instructions in English, German, and Chinese.

Overview

The SIPART PS2 series delivers high-performance position control based on setpoint values for pneumatic actuators. Advanced diagnostic functions—available online and offline—enable predictive maintenance and reduce system downtime. Pressure sensor expansions are optional for further diagnostics.

Design

The positioner consists of:

• Base plate with cover (with or without inspection window)
• Electronics supporting 4–20 mA signals with/without HART, PROFIBUS PA, or FOUNDATION Fieldbus
• Non-contacting or potentiometer-based position feedback
• Pneumatic block with standard right-side supply and actuation ports

Multiple interface options are available including gauge blocks, boosters, and safety solenoid valves. Mounting kits allow flexible fitting on linear or rotary actuators.

Optional Modules and Expansion

SIPART PS2 can be expanded with:

• Analog Output Module (AOM): 4–20 mA position feedback
• Digital I/O Module (DIO): Includes 3 digital outputs, 1 digital input, alarm signaling, limit monitoring
• Inductive Limit Switches (ILS): NAMUR standard with integrated fault signaling
• Mechanical Limit Switches (MLS): Two independent mechanical limits with alarm support

All modules feature full electrical isolation and self-signaling faults and are easily retrofitted.

Separate Mounting

The positioner and detection unit can be installed separately to accommodate harsh environmental conditions. Electrical and pneumatic connections are extended via cable and tubing, allowing protected area installation.
