Overview: Siemens SIRIUS 3RT2027-1AT60 Power Contactor
The Siemens 3RT2027-1AT60 is a high-performance, 3-pole SIRIUS power contactor designed for reliable switching of electric motors and non-inductive loads. Part of the compact and versatile SIRIUS modular system, this size S0 contactor features a robust design for industrial applications.
It is rated for an operational current of 32 A (AC-3e/AC-3) and a power rating of 15 kW at 400 V. The control circuit operates on 600 V AC at 60 Hz, making it suitable for specific North American/industrial supply networks. It comes equipped with convenient screw terminals for secure wiring and base-mounted auxiliary contacts consisting of 1 Normally Open (NO) and 1 Normally Closed (NC) contact, simplifying integration into control circuits.

Function
The 3RT2027-1AT60 acts as an electrically controlled switch for a power circuit. When the 600 V AC control coil is energized, the 3-pole main contacts close, connecting the electric motor or load to the main power supply. The integrated auxiliary contacts (1 NO / 1 NC) change state simultaneously, providing feedback and interlocking functions necessary for motor control circuits, such as status signaling and preventing simultaneous operation of reversing contactors. It is primarily used for AC-3e/AC-3 applications—switching squirrel-cage motors during operation (starting and stopping).
