- Enhanced Safety Features: Includes a captive 2 NO + 2 NC auxiliary switch block, often required for safety applications (e.g., SUVA-certified safety circuits), ensuring the auxiliary contacts are an integral, non-removable part of the device.
- Versatile System Integration: As a SIRIUS 3RT2 component, it is perfectly suited for use in load feeders and easily combines with other SIRIUS devices like overload relays and circuit breakers.
- Durable and Long-lasting: Engineered for a high mechanical service life, reducing maintenance and replacement costs in industrial environments.
- Easy Installation: Features robust screw terminals for secure main and control circuit wiring.
Function
The Siemens 3RT2037-1AP04-3MA0 Contactor is designed to electrically switch an electrical power circuit. It primarily functions to control the start, stop, and direction of three-phase AC motors. When the 230V AC, 50 Hz coil is energized, the 3 main Normally Open (NO) contacts close, allowing power to flow to the motor. The integrated 2 NO and 2 NC auxiliary contacts provide signaling and interlocking functions within the control circuit.
