Function
The Siemens 3TB4022-0XP1 contactor functions as an electrically operated switch. When the 240V AC control voltage is applied to the coil, it generates a magnetic field that closes the main power contacts. This allows power to flow to the connected motor. When the voltage is removed, a spring forces the contacts open, interrupting the power. The auxiliary contacts change state simultaneously, providing signals to the control system to indicate the contactor’s status (e.g., motor is running or stopped).
