Function
The Siemens 3TB4311-0XH0 contactor is an electromagnetically operated switching device. When the 48 V AC, 50 Hz coil is energized, it generates a magnetic field that pulls the main contacts closed. This action allows power to flow to the connected load, such as a motor. The 1 NC auxiliary contact simultaneously opens, providing a signal that the main circuit is closed. When the coil is de-energized, springs force the contacts back to their open state, interrupting the power flow and de-energizing the load.
Application
- Motor control for pumps, compressors, and fans
- HVAC systems
- Industrial machine control panels
- Lighting control systems
- Heating element switching
- Automation and process control systems
