Function
The Siemens 3TB4422-0XB0 contactor’s primary function is to act as an electrically operated switch. When the 24V AC control voltage is applied to the coil, it closes the main power contacts, allowing current to flow to the connected load. When the voltage is removed, the contacts open, interrupting the power. The auxiliary contacts change state simultaneously with the main contacts, providing a signal that can be used for control, monitoring, or interlocking purposes within a control circuit.
