Function

The Siemens 3MT8065-1AB04 contactor serves as an electromagnetic switch for remotely controlling the power supply to three-phase AC motor and other high-current electrical load. When the 24 VAC control voltage is applied to the coil, it generates a magnetic field that pulls in the main contact, closing the circuit and allowing power to flow to the connected equipment. Upon removal of the control voltage, a spring mechanism disengages the contact, opening the circuit and stopping the power flow. The integrated 2NO+2NC auxiliary contacts change state concurrently with the main contact, providing signal for interlocking, status indication, and other control circuit function.
